Trying a new form of haiku , Troiku by Kristjaan Panneman. Learn more about it here: Troiku
peace flowing
in a river of blood
fallen soldiers
peace flowing
old wounds heal
balance restored
in a river of blood
all are washed clean
redemption
fallen soldiers
make peace with their gods
new flowers blossom
Oh, brilliant! You've done this marvelously!
ReplyDeleteThe troiku can be tough but you've made it look effortless.
Hoping for peace at last ---
Thanks - it came easy as I was trying to make the first more uplifting.
DeleteI wonder if fallen soldiers ever really do make peace with their gods. It's something I have a hard time imagining. I think my last thoughts as a fallen soldier would be: "What a waste!" But, really, what do I know?
ReplyDeleteShattering Their Peace
I tend to agree with you.
DeleteWow Dolores ... what a gorgeous Troiku you have turned your haiku into. You even have stayed at the theme of your haiku. Really well done ... I hope that this new form will be done by other Carpe Diem Haiku Kai family-members.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am looking forward to writing more of these. :0)

DeleteWould that our rivers of ink could heal the rivers of blood. You have done a marvelous job of evoking the mysterious tragedy of war, yin and tang flowing though the troiku. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI agree the pen should be mightier than the sword.
Deletewow these are great! independent yet all tell the same story.
