Karumi (lightness)

a jenny wren
I quit rinsing dishes
for a moment

the woodpecker’s call
looking up from my work
I smile at him

the fallen snow
softens your departure
momentarily

  2. Beautiful series ---
The first two are so joyful -- lightness in the mundane! The third - such a softly aching feel. Really enjoyed the post.

  5. delightful trio.
the hammering woodpecker may not be very melodious but it is comforting to hear him tapping.

  8. I'd do the same, stop what I was doing when I see birds visiting my feeder!

  9. Three wonderful examples of karumi - you use the "lightness" and deceptive simplicity so well. A lovely read :)
