Quadrille #96 - wild
Winter Dreams
Siberian iris stems
rattle gently;
My winter garden
rattle gently;
My winter garden
muddy grey.
The heart wanders
remembering
spring’s first pink buds
The heart wanders
remembering
spring’s first pink buds
royal purple iris,
golden daffodils,
hum of insects,
the pip of a woodpecker.
the pip of a woodpecker.
I walk a sanctuary
wild with color,
full of fresh scents
and hope.
and hope.
I love the pale beauty of the flowers in your quadrille, together with the sounds of the Siberian iris stems rattling gently, the ‘hum of insects’ and the ‘pip of a woodpecker’. They made me look out of the window and, hey presto! There are fresh green buds on the honeysuckle!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed my garden. I've green shoots but hoping for an insect killing freeze before everything leafs out.
