Stars

brilliant stars
decorate the sky
Christmas eve

crooked star
paper and gold glitter
shines with memories

dazzling gem
shines in the night sky
just out of reach

I also wrote some star haiku in to days post on medium. Day 56 - Haibun Journey View from My Window

  2. Nice trio, Dolorles. You can't reach them unless you can catch one falling and put it in your pocket.

    Never let it fade away
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
Save it for a rainy day...

    1. I know that song! Some kid my freshmen year in high school tried to give the song to me as a poem he'd written.

  6. nice to live in an area where light pollution doesn't obscure the stars, so that you can write such sweet lines about them.
That was an enterprising boyfriend : he thought copying and writing it out was enough of an effort. You have to smile.
